I bought a yard of some new faux leather, called Symphony Classic, in black. It is supposedly the industry standard for this type of materials. I gotta say, at first look, this stuff is really nice. There is a bit more sheen, and the grain is bit tighter, than the Whisper material. So the next few saddles that are requested in black will use this new stuff. If it works as well as I suspect, then I will be stocking this stuff permanently. It will also give me access to 42 additional colors.
